Kyneton Airport Day 2018

Neville Hunter has liaised with the Kyneton Aero Club to have

us visit and display our motorcycles at:

 

KYNETON AIRPORT

located at: 1503 Kyneton-Metcalfe Road, Kyneton, Victoria, 3444.

 

Arrive around 10.00 am. Leave around 3.00 pm.

This deal costs nothing and there’s toilets and hot water and four barbecues and a place to sit for lunch.

Bikes can be taken and ridden unregistered there, (no trail bikes thanks) but perhaps a few outfits in case we get some old folks to drop in. We will have a place to unload the trailers etc. and an area to ourselves as well as the hangar. Ideally, they won’t be far apart.

Projects, etc. can be brought along as well and if a bit of info accompanies them where appropriate all the better.

Bring your own meat for the barbecue and drinks, etc. - salad will be provided.

The area we get will to some extent be dependent on the wind and runway used. We used to do a run in a paddock at Wandong and bring the unroadworthy, un-registered and static exhibits out then, but that’s a while ago!!!

The CFA will also be in attendance.

We realise there is a lot on in November and December but the date is set by the Aero Club. Perhaps next year, we can pick a more appropriate time. We need to make a bit of a showing this time to make our chances good for next year.

The Aero Club does not offer joy flights as it is licensed for training purposes. However, one may be able to pay for a ‘trial instruction flight’ !!!!!

from Melbourne exit the Calder Freeway at C326 Edge

-combe Rd. and go north. Turn left into Saleyards Rd. Af-

ter the sweeping curve turn left into Kyneton-Metcalfe Rd.

At end of a sweeping curve turn right into road to Kyneton

Airport which has the Aero Club at the end of the road.
