The 2026 Scoresby swap meet has come and gone for another year.  This year’s swap meet was moved from our traditional first week of April spot due to Easter.  So there was not the extra hour of sleep before the early start this year.  Mores the pity as I volunteered to help guide the sellers in on the Sunday Morning and I’m not at my best at 5:30am.

Lindsay Wheeler, the swap meet coordinator wrote:

I would like to thank all club members that contributed to the success of our annual Scoresby Swap Meet.  This includes:

• Swap meet Committee members that assisted with the planning and marketing of the event

• Those club members that assisted with preparation for the event, setup on Saturday, overnight security, running the event on the Sunday and cleanup

• Management of the finances

• Club members who were sellers

• Club members who were buyers.

Because of everyone's efforts, the event went smoothly.

Although the weather was a bit challenging on Saturday, it was generally fine on the Sunday, and we had a good number of sellers and buyers.

While we expect the overall takings to be down a little on last year, it was still a very successful event for the club
